As part of the project on the modernization of the Suenli irrigation scheme in the Republic of Karakalpakstan, Rahmanov Partners organized a study tour to France for a high-level Uzbek delegation. The group included representatives from the Ministry of Investments, Agriculture, and Irrigation, the Suenli Irrigation System Administration, the Council of Ministers of Karakalpakstan, and specialists from the agricultural sector. The visit was designed to strengthen institutional and technical capacity through direct exposure to advanced irrigation practices and water management models implemented in France.
During the tour, the delegation visited key irrigation facilities such as water dams, pressurized irrigation networks, gates, and tunnels, gaining firsthand insights into efficient water distribution systems. A series of workshops were held on topics including climate change adaptation, water user cooperation, irrigation service delivery, and farmer support systems. The program also included field visits to agricultural sites to study various on-farm irrigation technologies, such as drip, sprinkler, and pivot systems, facilitating knowledge exchange and helping identify practical solutions for improving irrigation efficiency in Karakalpakstan.
